There’s no question that you’re the heart and soul of PV’s youth travel program. How does that program contribute to PVHS Boys Lacrosse success?

I think the success of the PVHS program has a direct correlation to the hours put in at the youth level. This is something I am very passionate about. We are very fortunate to have coaches in place at the youth level who emphasize the little things. To me, what separates PV from the rest of the area is our focus on the little things and long term development. We do not focus on winning 12 and 14U tournaments and putting in elaborate plays, but focus on developing the core skills that these players need to compete at the next level. You see it year after year…. our youth teams get beat by other teams when we are young, then when they get to high school they not only win, but win big! And it is not because of magic plays, it is because our players have developed superior skills.

What does it mean to be a PV Boys Lacrosse Shark?

It means you are part of something bigger than yourself. Part of a group working together towards bettering themselves both on and of the field. Your part of a family, a brotherhood, a group of men that will forever have this bond. It is something that took many years of hard work to build, and something that every current player should be pushing to make better.
